We anticipate the need for one or more Nuclear Apprentice Plant Attendant(s) Step 1 at our Prairie Island Nuclear Plant in Welch, MN. The wage range for this position is $30.39 to $46.86 upon completion of the apprentice program. This position will be posted for 10 Working Days from May 15th, 2026, to May 28th, 2026. Summary: Perform plant operations such as refueling, equipment isolations and restorations, surveillance testing and equipment and valve checks, and act as a member of the on-site fire brigade. Must be capable of climbing ladders and occasionally working at heights. Must be capable of wearing a respirator and self-contained breathing apparatus. Must also meet all nuclear plant access authorization requirements under NRC regulations.
