FTE: 1.0_, Shift: Day _, Schedule: _8am - 430pm Position Summary: The WIC Certifier I is responsible for determining WIC eligibility, scheduling potential participants and enrolling when qualified. External contacts include patients, families, physicians and outside organizations and agencies. Essential Functions Communicates in person and remotely with participants in a sensitive manner regarding lifestyle, medical history, nutritional practices and income. Evaluates income and health risks to determine participant program eligibility. Utilized motivational interviewing techniques. Performs clerical tasks, including answering phones, prequalifying prospective clients, scheduling appointments, making reminder calls, etc. Incumbent may be required to work in any MBWIC clinic in Pierce...
