Computational Scientist III

Job description

The Computational Scientist III is member of the research team and contributes to design, development, maintenance, and validation of molecular assays and analytical pipelines working closely with molecular biologists, lab directors and software engineers. Responsibility: Make critical contributions to wide range of products in a cutting-edge clinical genomics laboratory. Use rigorous data science and modern software best practices to create efficient, reliable, and optimized bioinformatics tools. Work closely with molecular biologists, clinical scientists, software engineers, automation engineers, and data scientists. Characterize data resulting from novel molecular assays and guide molecular protocol development from a statistical perspective. Mentor junior scientists and research associates, guiding the overall path and success of key projects. Author posters and publications demonstrating the scientific prowess of our products and algorithms that power the products. Work with legal staff to secure intellectual property rights for inventions pertaining to our products. Communicate results to stakeholders across the organization. Qualifications: 1.
