Description Summary: The Middle School Humanities teacher is a dedicated Sacred Heart educator who builds strong, positive relationships with students in grades 5–8 and demonstrates a genuine passion for teaching Middle School learners. The ideal candidate embraces the school’s mission and the multifaceted responsibilities of working in an independent school setting. This teacher designs engaging, hands-on, and rigorous lessons and curricula that foster curiosity and a love of learning. Strong candidates possess a deep understanding of pedagogical best practices, as well as social studies and English language arts content, and can inspire and motivate students. The teacher will also serve as an active member of both the Social Studies and English Language Arts Departments by participating in meetings and collaborating to develop, refine, and align curricula across content areas.
