Responsibilities We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Network Engineer, SME to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard. Responsibilities: - Provide enterprise technical authority for network architecture, engineering standards, and infrastructure modernization across ARNG G6 environments. - Establish routing, switching, firewall, VPN, load‑balancing, and secure transport design frameworks aligned with enterprise architecture and cybersecurity requirements. - Review and adjudicate complex WAN and LAN engineering designs to ensure scalability, interoperability with legacy systems, and alignment with future‑state architectures. - Advise leadership on network performance, resiliency risk, JRSS integration, circuit strategy, and mission continuity tradeoffs. - Guide site readiness assessments, capacity planning, and infrastructure optimization to sustain reliable enterprise connectivity. - Oversee configuration governance, design documentation standards, and change validation processes to maintain auditability and operational integrity. - Coordinate cross‑functional integration with SOC/CIRT, NOC, cloud, and enterprise architecture teams to en...
