Senior Logistics Manager

Job description

This is a new position to address growth within the company. The Sr. Logistics Manager oversees and manages the team responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing plans related to the storage, movement, and distribution of goods and materials within a supply chain. This position is responsible for monitoring supply chain functions to identify areas for improvement and will develop and implement strategies to reduce cost and delivery time. Continuously evaluates logistics performance to enhance service delivery and meet organizational goals. This role will manage through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. Offers input to develop the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
