Position: Marine/Facilities Maintenance Technician (Electrical Focus) Reports To: Facility Manager: Worksite: Gretna, Louisiana. Work Schedule: 7am-5pm, Monday-Friday; on-call every other week for afterhours and weekend duty. Electrical work, general maintenance work (pumps, meters, motors, etc.), general carpentry work, and repair work for marine vessels and barges as well as shore-based facilities. Diagnose, trouble shoot, and fix problem independently Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduits. Thread wire or cable through ducts or conduits. Measure materials and objects for installation and assembly. Trace out short circuits and wiring. Strip insulation from wire ends. Install electrical components, equipment, and systems.
