JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Invention Evaluation Leadership - Leads the strategic evaluation, protection, and licensing of Cincinnati Children’s intellectual property assets. Oversees the triage and development of invention disclosures, patenting strategy, and intellectual property transactions with industry. Drives the department’s scientific and commercial licensing strategy, manages complex deal negotiations, and supervises a team of portfolio professionals responsible for evaluating, marketing, and commercializing institutional innovations. Directs assessment of invention disclosures for novelty, commercial potential, and strategic value. Intellectual Property Strategy and Licensing - Responsible for intellectual property strategy and licensing. Guides patenting decisions and leads negotiation of high-value intellectual property licenses and other commercialization contracts. Acts as a senior subject matter expert on intellectual property strategy and technology evaluation. Directs strategic oversight of the intellectual property portfolio across disclosure, assessment, protection, and licensing.
