Job Details Kettering Health Hamilton | Hamilton| Full Time| 12 hrs/Night Shift Responsibilities & Requirements: Registered Respiratory Therapists provide high level clinical respiratory care under indirect technical supervision, as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Lead. Responsibilities include assessing patients, performing diagnostic tests to determine the underlying causes and extent of illness or injury, operating therapeutic gas administration equipment, administering medication therapy as prescribed, managing mechanical ventilators, assessing and developing a plan of care utilizing approved therapist driven protocols and providing emergency care during medical emergencies. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Responsibilities: - Determine respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians / providers. - Ensure compatibility with physician orders. - Perform respiratory protocols as outlined in system policies. - Set up and administer all routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures to patients. - This includes inhalants, mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems. - Perform invasive and noninvasiv...
