Retail Bootfitter - Winter 26/27

Job description

The Big White Retail Department is seeking qualified applicants to work as Bootfitters in Dizzy's Ski & Board Shop for the upcoming winter season. Successful applicants should have at least 12 months' prior experience in this or a related field (e.g. podiatry, shoemaking). A sound knowledge of stance analysis as it relates to skiing and snowboarding is essential. Applicants must have the ability to construct posted custom footbeds and be capable of boot modification as required. Duties include: - Performing stance analysis - Making orthotic corrections - Grinding and stretching boot materials - Cuff alignments - Performing stance alignment - Refurbishing and repairing all manner of ski/ snowboard footwear - Preparing and posting custom orthotics (footbeds), including selecting suitable lasts, fastening custom insoles to lasts and gluing parts into place - Dealing directly with customers to obtain the information necessary to perform the above duties - Estimate footwear repair costs and take payment - Keeping work areas clean and tidy at all times - Comply with all established department and company policies, procedures and code of ethics - Uphold the highest standard of internal an...
