Contributing to the Hospital's mission involves addressing the needs of behavioral health patients. This role entails performing various direct and indirect patient care duties in collaboration with ED Clinical staff, ensuring effective teamwork to enhance the delivery of quality patient care. Key responsibilities include: Maintaining a solid understanding of hospital policies, protocols, and procedures. Recognizing signs and symptoms of psychiatric diagnoses, including drug and alcohol withdrawal, and applying appropriate therapeutic interventions to prevent patient escalation. Monitoring patient safety and promoting a positive, age-appropriate therapeutic and educational atmosphere. Utilizing approved de-escalation techniques and interventions.
