The Research Unit of General Practice , Department of Public Health (IST), University of Southern Denmark (SDU) invites applications for a fully funded one-year postdoctoral position. The position is to be filled from July 15th 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is related to the application of system analytics and modelling within and based upon data from Danish healthcare. About the research project: The candidate for this position will spend time on developing and publishing on three main areas: The work will be done in close collaboration with senior staff from general practice, hospitals, and health economics. - Readmission analysis in Danish healthcare based on developing and using AI/ML models - System analytics approach to efficiency-quality trade-offs in Danish healthcare focusing on readmissions - Therapeutic inertia with a focus on explainable AI decision support for timely therapy adjustments About the position: We are looking for an experienced researcher at postdoc level with documented knowledge and experience related to system analytics and use of AI or ML driven models on large data sets.
