The Banquet Coordinator books, plans, and coordinates parties, banquets, and special events at the Emerald Necklace Marina Party Room and other restaurant locations throughout the park district. - Serves as event leader for all banquets, parties and other special events at the Emerald Necklace Marina Party Room, and other Cleveland Metroparks restaurant locations as assigned: Meets with clients to sell event space and book events; answer and respond to event inquiries; gather event information and ensure guest needs are being met; prepare proposals, contracts and other necessary documents; determine proper set-up, food, beverage, and other specific guest needs; and coordinate event with appropriate staff. - Plans and coordinates the logistical execution of parties, banquets and special events including: Scheduling of servers and bartenders, work flow, equipment, supplies, menus; and the set-up, execution, and tear-down. - Manages events ensuring client needs are met and communicating with key stakeholders regarding guest experience. - Manages event budgets.
