Job Summary Under general supervision of the Assistant Director of Parking & Events, the Community Service Specialist I is responsible for patrolling the campus on foot and/or by vehicle to provide enforcement of campus parking rules and regulations, including issuing citations; immobilizing and impounding vehicles; directing traffic and assisting police with traffic accidents and emergency calls for services; and providing parking information and general university information to visitors, students, staff and faculty. Day-to-day work is performed independently under general supervision with closer supervision for new or more complex/sensitive assignments. This position works a 4/10 schedule, Thursday through Sunday, 6:30 am – 5:00 pm Department Summary: Under the administration of the Assistant Vice President of Public Safety/Chief of Police, the Public Safety Unit is responsible for the safety, health and well-being of the university community.
