Job Summary The Supervisor, Surgical Services oversees daily operations of the Surgery and Central Sterile departments to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. This role involves coordinating surgical schedules, supervising clinical and non-clinical staff, and managing resources effectively. The Supervisor collaborates with surgeons, nursing staff, and leadership to optimize workflows, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and support the professional development of team members. This position serves as a resource and provides leadership in the absence of the Director or Assistant Director of Surgical Services. Essential Functions: - Acts as a liaison between physicians, charge nurses, and the surgical team to facilitate effective communication and coordination of care. - Keeps the Director and Assistant Director informed of departmental activities, personnel issues, and patient conditions, escalating concerns as necessary. - Conducts daily safety huddles, prepares statistical and productivity reports, and ensures efficient workflow in the Surgery and Central Sterile Departments. - Plans and coordinates the surgery schedule, considering physician availabi...
