Propulsion Analyst (Structural) Department: Propulsion: Employment Type: Full Time: Location: Redondo Beach: Compensation: $100,000 - $160,000 / year Description: As a Propulsion Analyst (Structural) at Impulse, your core responsibility will be to facilitate the design and development of liquid propellant rocket engine hardware with thermal and structural analysis. Responsibilities: - Perform and document static, thermal, dynamic, and fatigue analysis to guide design and development of liquid propellant rocket engine hardware. - Ensure model predictions are grounded in reality through a practical hands-on approach. - Contribute to developing analysis processes and tools to be used company wide. Achieve buy in with key stakeholders and provide training for general use. Minimum Qualifications: - B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a comparable field. - 2+ years of demonstrated experience with thermal/structural analysis on liquid propellant rocket engines or similar high-performance systems. - 2+ years of professional experience in structural analysis with commercial FEA software (e.g. ANSYS, Abaqus, Nastran) and hand-calc methods. - Basic experience with 3D CAD software (NX pre...
