Description The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at Yale School of Medicine is expanding the clinical practice and seeks an outstanding Pediatric trained Ophthalmologist for one available position as an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. The rank will be determined based on experience. The department is rapidly growing its clinical footprint and seeking a candidate to join our team. Candidates who have an interest in management of ROP are preferred. The department has a long-standing tradition of excellence in clinical care and research in multiple subspecialty areas of ophthalmology. Our faculty provides clinical services for patients at Yale Medicine Ophthalmology, the Dana Clinic at Yale New Haven Hospital, and the West Haven Veterans Affairs Hospital. We have a strong and competitive residency program, which consists of 15 residents, along with two fellowship programs. The Department is affiliated with the Yale New Haven Health System, a growing healthcare system including Yale-New Haven Hospital, Bridgeport Hospital, Greenwich Hospital, and Lawrence and Memorial Hospital.
