Job Title: Environmental Services Technician Department: Environmental Services: Reports To: Nutrition/Environmental Services Manager: Location: Hospital: FLSA Status: Non-Exempt: Job Summary: The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for all cleaning of the facility and routine maintenance of cleaning equipment used. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Assures that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive manner. Keeps all areas of the facility maintained by cleaning furniture, bathrooms, patient rooms, waiting rooms, conference rooms, hallways, stairs, elevators, floors, carpets, windows, etc., as well as vacuuming, dusting, and disposing of trash and infectious waste. Ensures equipment is available for daily work duties and is cleaned and properly stored after use. Reports burned out light bulbs, spots on ceiling, broken equipment or other findings to Facility Services. Assures that an adequate supply of housekeeping supplies is maintained in utility/janitorial closets to perform daily tasks. Assists in training of co-workers and attends service area meetings.
