Classification Title: OPS technician position in Chemistry/Biology Classification Minimum Requirements: Recent Bachelor's degree in Chem/Biological Sciences (or related field) Candidate must be self-motivated, responsible, energetic, able to solve problems, and work in a diverse laboratory environment Excellent organizational, communication, time management, and record-keeping skills Job Description: Two technician positions are available in Dr. Feng Tang's laboratory in the Department of Chemistry to support ongoing research projects leveraging Sequencing and Proteomics techniques to study how DNA damage induced by environmental exposure and endogenous metabolism contributes to cancer and aging-related diseases. There will be tremendous opportunities to learn and contribute to exciting research. We are a multi-disciplinary lab that utilizes various techniques (analytical chemistry, biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, NGS sequencing, nanopore sequencing, proteomics, and bioinformatics) in mammalian cell culture model systems.
