Job Summary: The Clinical Nurse C-CVL (CNC-CVL), functions effectively in Magnet Recognized large tertiary academic medical center with level one trauma designation, ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) receiving center designation and comprehensive stroke center accreditation. Demonstrates advanced knowledge in adult cardiovascular nursing and functions in a fast-paced adult cardiovascular lab. Follows the nursing process to perform simple and complex diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiovascular procedures for adult patients with cardiac dysfunction. Scrubs, circulates, and assists physicians, in performing simple and complex diagnostic, interventional, electrophysiology procedures including, but not limited to, cardiac biopsies, right and left heart catheterizations, percutaneous cardiac interventional procedures. Applies discretion and independent judgment to the provision of age-specific and developmentally appropriate quality care for stable and unstable patients.
