The role functions as a clinical resource within Sterile Processing and supports direct patient care activities across operative suites, clinical areas, and satellite locations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the receipt, decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, storage, case cart preparation, and distribution of reusable medical devices and equipment in accordance with department policies, manufacturer’s instructions for use (IFUs), and applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
