Student Intern, Maintenance

SALARY $18.32 per hour: *APPLICANT MUST BE A CURRENT JOB CORPS STUDENT*: Description: Reports to the facility maintenance manager or designee. Responsible for the completion of a wide variety of tasks to include keeping assigned areas clean and orderly in compliance with government and management directives. Essential Functions: MAINTENANCE/CUSTODIAN WORK: Must be reliable and willing to work evenings and some weekends. - Cleaning floors, bathrooms, outside area, and other duties as assigned in the building. - Wash walls, windows, ceilings, woodwork, dust desks, bookshelves, cabinets, and other office furniture - Trouble shooting and repairing plumbing, electrical systems and HVAC equipment. - Collect and dispose of all trash, litter, and other debris on grounds, streets, and parking lots. Sweep and clean exterior steps, entrances, landings, and sidewalks. - Use basic cleaning compounds, waxes, and disinfectants as provided by supervision.
