Overview Provides diagnostic imaging services according to accepted standards and protocols and assures patient safety during procedures Responsibilities: Administrative: - Performs all diagnostic procedures following policies and procedures established by the department. - Adjusts patient care based on age-specific needs. - Uses all equipment properly and in a manner that minimizes hazards of electric shock. - Selects appropriate equipment for each individual ultrasound exam. - Adjusts the equipment controls and selects the correct transducer according to the organ being examined. - Explains procedures and responds to questions appropriately. - Maintains a working knowledge of the PAC’s System. - Working knowledge of CD Burning. - Completes patient charges for each exam in a timely manner. - Transports patients to and from the department. - Maintains a clean and orderly environment. - Able to note when order and inclination will not be correct. - Uses computer to access reports. - Follows protocols for releasing of images. - Assists with administrative responsibilities of the department to include scheduling appointments, answering the phone, etc. - Works with administrative suppo...
