Part Time (40 Hours/Biweekly) Shift: Evening/Nights: Position Function: To provide transportation of patients to and from treatment areas, and to maintain general transportation/mobility of supplies and equipment. Unit Based Essential Functions and Responsibilities 1. Does not tolerate those who create, foster, or condone an intimidating, hostile, offensive or abrasive work environment. 2. Shows respect for patients by knocking on door before entering room, and making proper inquiries before going behind drawn curtains in patient rooms. 3. Utilizes appropriate, mechanical means or equipment to position, lift, transfer, or transport patients in a manner that minimizes the risk of personal and patient injury and that fosters proper body mechanics and procedures. 4. Assists in other related functions as assigned. 5. Safely transports patients to and from treatment areas, ensures that each patient is properly attired to ensure personal dignity and respect during transport. 6. Ensures that all procedures with regards to signing patients on and off the nursing unit or within the department are in compliance. 7.
