UNM Medical Group, Inc. (UNMMG) is currently seeking an Patient Service Coordinator for the UNM Cancer Center - Patient Access – Patient Registration/Check-In Services. Minimum $36,399 - Midpoint $44,754*: *Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience. *Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. This position will report to the Supervisor of Registration/Check-In Services within the Patient Services Department. The Patient Services Coordinator is responsible for all requirements within the Centralized Registration/Check-In team. The responsibilities include patient reminder phone calls, checking the patient in for appointments, conducting a full registration, verifying insurance, collection of co-pay/self-pay payments and etc. This position is critical to the overall success of the department by meeting established job requirements and performance goals in a very demanding and high producing clinic environment all while addressing and meeting the needs of the patient’s and/or physicians.
