Job description

At Mahaska Health a Resource Registered Nurse is respons ible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the Inpatient Services/Critical Care Unit, Birthing Center Services, and Emergency Services. Coordinates patient education and activities of interdisciplinary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Hours: Full-time: (7:00pm - 7:00am) OR (7:00am - 7:00pm) Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to: Is familiar with all nursing departments and can assist when necessary. May work multiple departments in one shift, or all hours in a single unit. Assumes the role of clinical resource person when necessary or finds necessary resources. Gives skilled nursing care to assigned patients. Assess and document the physical, psychological, spiritual, and social dimensions of patients on admission. Establish treatment priorities based on medical and nursing diagnosis. Initiate, implement, and modify an interdisciplinary plan of care individualized to each patient's assessed needs including family.
