Description University Physicians' Association is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Clinical Health Educator for University Surgeons Associates located in Knoxville, TN. General Summary : The Clinical Health Educator assists surgical bariatric, surgical prehabilitation and medical weight loss patients during their weight loss journey. Essential Job Responsibilities: 1. Create diet and exercise programs for those on track for bariatric surgery, surgical prehabilitation, and medical weight loss. 2. Collaborate and communicate with Mid-Level Providers and the Bariatric Dietitian to optimize patient weight loss outcomes. 3. Evaluate food intake diaries and collect appropriate data to give patient specific dietary recommendations and acknowledge achievements. 4. Create individualized cardiovascular and strength training regiments that are appropriate for medical weight loss and bariatric surgery patients. 5. Assist patients in weight loss goal setting, lifestyle modification plans, and general healthy living education. 6.
