POSITION TITLE: Spanish Dual-Language Immersion Program DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Manchester Park Elementary HOURS OF WORK: 7 Hrs. Daily/169-day calendar STATUS: Classified – Non-Exempt, Full Time POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing educational support for students in the Spanish dual-language program. This position may assist in multiple grades and classrooms throughout the week. Position is responsible for assisting classroom teachers in establishing a classroom environment that ensures learning and personal growth of every student, establishing effective rapport with students, and motivating students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for becoming a responsible citizen in accordance with each student’s ability. This position assists with instruction in a classroom which could include students with educational risk factors as well as students with special needs. The ability to form relationships with a wide variety of students and families is essential.
