TITLE: 4-H Residential Summer Camp Counselor DEPARTMENT: Cooperative Extension: REPORTS TO: 4-H Program Leader: CLASSIFICATION: Staff-Temporary: EFFECTIVE DATE: June 8, 2026 – June 27, 2026 LOCATION : On-Site-Main Campus: EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Temporary: EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Stipend: JOB SUMMARY: 4-H Residential Camp Counselors for summer camp programming are employed by KSU to serve as on-site, residential program staff throughout the duration of the camp. Staff serve as campus guides, role models, chaperones, mentors, and assistant teachers, while ensuring the safety, supervision, and overall well-being of all program participants in both academic and residential settings. This position will be for the 4-H Youth Innovators Empowering Agriculture – Research and Extension Apprenticeship Program (YEA-REAP). This immersive one-week summer camp is designed especially for high school students who are curious about agriculture, science, and the many career pathways that shape our food systems and communities.
