Cardiology Services (Full-time, Varied Shift) Job Summary: The Cardiac Navigator Nurse Practitioner (NP)-Cardiac Services practices in collaboration with the supervising physician and performs overlapping medical and surgical procedures for specialty population of patients with critical acuity and participates in service coverage needs 24 hours per day 7 days per week. Serves as a resource for multidisciplinary healthcare team members, patients, and families. Utilizes expertise in the delivery of whole-person care. Practices within the NP scope of practice pursuant to standardized procedures and follows policies, protocols, techniques, guidelines, standardized procedures, and state and federal regulations. Functions as an educator, consultant, clinical practitioner, researcher, and leader. Performs direct application of clinical expertise to patients and families and patient care staff. Plans, implements, coordinates and evaluates services for the Cardiothoracic and Interventional Cardiology and Endovascular patients.
