Description Position Summary: This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are looking for a certified teacher to work in the Summer Learning Loss Prevention (SLLP) program in a Summer Camp setting. The part-time Reading Enrichment Teacher is responsible for planning, implementing, and leading the educational activities of the SLLP program under the supervision of a Program Director. The Reading Intervention Teacher guides the academic and social development of children, ensuring a safe, enriching, and healthy learning environment that promotes progress and learning. Essential Functions: Qualifications: - Preparing lesson plans according to the Four Blocks Literacy curriculum model. - Working with the Site Director to administer the pre- and post- reading STAR assessments. - Attend all required trainings and staff meetings. - Instructing and facilitating according to the Four Blocks model and leading the classroom according to the fidelity and quality requirements. - Ensuring 1:8 ratio is maintained throughout the literacy portion of the day. - Meeting dail...
