Responsibilities The Optometric/Ophthalmic Assistant/Ophthalmic I/II is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients seen in the Optometry or Ophthalmology departments. He or she will ensure the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards. Job Title: OPHTHALMIC ASSISTANT, OPHTHALMIC ASSISTANT I/II- Optometry Location: The Woodlands: Department: Optometry: Job Type: Full Time: Salary Range: $46,587 - $74,496 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.) Qualifications: Education: Required: High School diploma or GED from an accredited program Preferred: OA - N/A OA I - N/A: OA II - Graduate of an accredited Ophthalmic Assistant program Required: OA - Minimum of 1 year of prior experience as a Medical Assistant or Optometric/Ophthalmic Assistant or 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant or Optometric/Ophthalmic Assistant if graduated from an accredited Medical or Ophthalmic Assistant program.
