Responsibilities The Optometric/Ophthalmic Assistant/Ophthalmic I/II is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients seen in the Optometry or Ophthalmology departments. He or she will ensure the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards.
