Job Description The buyer directs the content strategy, product selection and use of customer and trend information to support the merchandise strategies of the division. The buyer partners with the buy planner to achieve financial objectives. Specifically, the buyer and the buy planner are jointly accountable to meet and exceed departmental sales volume, gross margin and gross-margin-return-on-investment (GMROI) targets.
