Cover Supervisor

Job description

Thomas Mills High School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking Cover Administrator and Supervisor / Pupil Support to join our organised and efficient Cover Team and provide support to our pupils. The role involves coordinating cover each day, acting as the first point of contact for staff absences, while working closely with the Assistant Headteacher to ensure continuity of learning and effective deployment of staff. In addition, you will supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring work is completed to a high standard, promoting positive behaviour and maintaining an environment that is calm, purposeful and conducive to learning. When not undertaking cover or administrative duties, you will provide on‑call and targeted pupil support, including assisting pupils to return successfully to learning. You will have a good general education, strong communication skills and, ideally, experience of working with secondary‑aged students.
