Job Title: Surveying Rodman Craft: Survey Reports to: Exempt Status: Hourly (non-exempt) Position Objective/Description: The Survey Rodman will be responsible for supporting Surveyors and surveying crews during the measurement of land and grade. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Visit work/construction sites for land measurements. - Using basic mathematics and reading numerals. - Provide accurate survey rod readings on the request and direction of surveyor. - Work in varying weather conditions and work environments including dusty, wet, loud noises, etc. - Keep company vehicle, tools and equipment clean and orderly, informing management of any safety concerns. - Comply with all company policies, procedures and safety requirements. - Perform any other general duties as specified. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - 2 years’ experience assisting in surveying procedures, operations and providing survey rod readings. - High school diploma/GED preferred. - Maintain a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record by complying with standards established by SBCC policy. - Must have the ability to stand, crawl and kneel for long periods of time - Work environments w...
