Job description

Overview Supervises personnel in implementing procedures in cleaning, sterilizing, assembling, and storing reusable supplies and equipment. The Manager supervises all requisitioning, issuing, and controlling of reusable supplies and equipment. Functions as a resource person in all phases of the Central Sterile. Assumes the responsibility for the teaching of sterilization techniques. Responsible for using initiative and judgement in applying knowledge of inventory and sterilization practice. Responsibilities: - Monitors monthly department expenses; orders supplies; adjusts inventory as needed. Adjusts inventory level usage for Ster-Pack. Notifies appropriate personnel of improperly preparedpackage and any changes needed in package composition.• Responsible for purchase order requests, maintenance of forms for repair or equipment/instruments.• Assists with CQI assignments to include update and follow up reviews. Prepares and presents in-services on current changes in department and OSHA requirements. - Regularly performs safety checks on equipment and removes damaged equipment from service.• Immediately cleans equipment after pick-up from floors.• Overseas the daily management of the...
