Department: Cath Lab Schedule/Status: Varies ; Full Time Standard Hours/Week: 40 General Description: The Electrophysiology (EP) RN reports to the Manager of Cardiovascular Services or their designee. The EP RN performs within the scope of an RN license as well as performs a wide range of technical skills, utilized during a variety of Electrophysiology procedures to provide an efficient, comfortable, and safe examination of all patients. The EP RN is proficient in all aspects of electrophysiology preparation, assessment, documentation and monitoring consistent with the policies, procedures and processes of the Cardiovascular Services department and Hospital Administration. Adheres to the guidelines and standards of professional practice associations. Requirements: - Performs within the scope of the RN license. - Always achieves national best/leading practice standards for continuous quality improvement and patient safety as measured by CMS, Joint Commission, and other regulatory agencies pertinent to areas of responsibility (e.g., Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals), holding self and others accountable for actions and outcomes.
