Your job is more than a job The Dialysis Biomedical Technician provides clinical and technical support for the unit. Responsible for maintaining and repairing all dialysis machines and water treatment systems in the dialysis unit. GENERAL DUTIES: Equipment Care: - Maintains, repairs all dialysis machines and water treatment equipment at a facility. Ensures these systems are running properly and the equipment is working according to strict specifications. Repairs or replace parts as necessary and makes sure the machine is working according to specifications. - May perform preventative maintenance and repair dialysis machines. Performs maintenance checks on the machines after appropriate hours of use or as designated. Follows equipment manufactures specifications and hospital policies and procedures. - Dismantles, cleans, disinfects/sterilizes dialysis machines and ancillary medical equipment. - Maintains support documentation as required. - Monitors R.O. system, log sheets for completeness and accuracy, noting any deviations. - Assists with performing electrical safety assurance, performance testing on all dialysis machines and related electrical equipment as required.
