Job description

Thompson First Group is seeking an Industrial Mechanical Electrician for a direct hire role with a local client in Delaware City, DE. Candidates that have a background completing PLC troubleshooting and have working in an industrial setting on production and manufacturing equipment are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities: Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting: - Perform routine and emergency electrical maintenance on all production equipment and systems (e.g., packaging machines, conveyors, HVAC systems, and control panels). - Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical faults in machinery and equipment, including motors, drives, sensors, relays, and PLCs. - Ensure electrical systems are operating within specified voltage, current, and safety parameters. Preventive Maintenance: - Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to reduce downtime and increase equipment lifespan. - Maintain an up-to-date record of maintenance activities, work orders, and repairs. - System Upgrades & Modifications: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical systems or upgrades to existing equipment. - Work with the engineering team to improve and modify...
