Overview Provide diagnostic imaging services according to accepted standards and protocols and assure patient safety during procedures Responsibilities: General Diagnostic Procedures: - Performs all diagnostic procedures following policies and procedures established by the department and proper protocol. - Adjusts patient care based on age specific needs - Uses all equipment properly and in a manner that minimizes hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients. - Determines most suitable position and shields patient for optimum imaging, protocol, and patient comfort. Follows ALARA principle (staff and patient shielding). - Explains procedures and responds to questions appropriately. - Scans paperwork into the PAC’s System and have proper paperwork filled out (IV contrast paperwork). - Maintains working knowledge of the PAC’s System. - Demonstrates knowledge of CD Burning. - Completes patient charges for each exam in a timely manner. - Transports patients to and from the department. - Maintains a clean and orderly environment and associated checklist.
