Investment Management - Research Analyst - Associate London: MSIM International Equity Team: Morgan Stanley Investment Management’s (MSIM) International Equity team manages US$49bn in assets under management and supervision. The client base is global, across a mix of high-quality institutions and intermediaries. The team of 13 investors, headed by William Lock, manage four major strategies: Global Franchise, Global Quality, Global Quality Select and International Equity. Portfolio turnover among the global strategies is typically 20-25% whilst turnover on the International Equity strategy can exceed 30% due to the split between quality/value opportunities. The team also runs related regional quality strategies International Resilience and American Resilience, as well as retail SMA, tax managed and income-oriented variants of their flagship strategies/funds. The global strategies seek to offer long-term capital appreciation and reduced downside participation relative to the index, focusing on long-term compounders that deliver superior returns on operating capital employed (ROOCE), typically supported by pricing power and recurring revenues.
