Description The Department of Family Medicine (FM) at the University of Virginia School of Medicine seeks applicants for a tenure-eligible faculty position of Assistant Professor on the Academic Investigator track. The successful candidate will be appointed within FM as part of the departmental strategic plan to expand research on colorectal cancer etiology, cancer prevention, and population health. The incumbent will also join UVA Comprehensive Cancer Center as a member of the Cancer Prevention and Population Health (CPH) program. The Department of Family Medicine, led by Li Li, MD, PhD, MPH, currently operates seven practices that provide a strong base for clinical education and research. Our providers lead clinically differentiated programs in adult gender medicine, obesity medicine, refugee care, sports medicine, and obstetrics. These practices allow FM to serve a wide array of patients of all life stages across diverse cultural and socio-economic populations.
