As a senior mental health counselor, you will oversee individual and group counseling as assigned and consult with various internal departments. You will manage an active caseload of students with counseling needs and provide community referrals as needed. Additionally, you will provide clinical supervision to department trainees and interns and conduct outreach for psychoeducational program development and presentations. Responsibilities include prompt documentation of student contact in a computerized system, crisis intervention with students, and participation in scheduled quarterly student orientations. Among other duties, you will maintain a personal schedule and keep it updated in both the master and computerized schedules. You will also notify your supervisor of staff development needs, participate in department performance improvement initiatives, and prepare your own PRs for supervisor approval.
