VAT Analyst

Job description

An exciting opportunity to join the Indirect Tax Team of ADI Global (global leading wholesale distributor of security and low-voltage products). The successful candidate will be a key person within the VAT team reporting to the Head of Indirect Tax. As part of the team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day compliance of multiple businesses throughout Europe, liaising with external advisors and supporting in-house VAT reporting. You will gain exposure to various VAT issues and related matters in the UK and in the EU. JOB DUTIES: - Prepare VAT Returns, EC Sales Lists, & other mandatory reports related to VAT, - Prepare monthly VAT return overviews for Country Controllers to assist with approvals - Prepare data for submission of VAT payment requests; ensure deadlines for payment are met and highlight large month on month fluctuations in payments or refunds – this includes close working with Payment and Banking team - Identify areas of incorrect VAT treatment as part of the VAT return process and communicate with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams regarding correct booking of documents from VAT perspective - Prepare monthly reconciliations of VAT Balance sheet account...
