Job description
Under general supervision, responsible for providing customer service to patients by scheduling appointments, performing check-in and check-out procedures, verifying insurance benefits, obtaining authorizations, and providing telephone triage. EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED is required. - Obtains authorizations and referrals; assists in the collection of copays and existing balances due and assists with financial counseling as needed. - Create, update, and manage patient records. - Manage daily/weekly schedule for students. - Track patient progress and ensure continuity of care. - Handles and answers all phone calls and transfers calls to the appropriate departments as needed. - Manages patient appointments according to the physician's schedules and/or protocols. - Performs all other duties as assigned. - Detail oriented with the ability to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner. - Ability to monitor important and complex projects concurrently. - Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes/other email software. - Effectively communicates verbally and in writing, to include writing and p...
