Position Summary The Mine Site Electrician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment used in mining operations. Must be able to operate equipment necessary to move cable and portable equipment This role is critical to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mobile equipment, fixed plant, and site infrastructure in accordance with regulatory and company safety standards. Supervisor Responsibilities: This position has no direct supervisor responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Must possess a strong working knowledge of AC and DC theory and equipment, test procedures, safe work practices, and electrical codes. - Inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair electrical systems on mining equipment, fixed plant, and site facilities - Must possess a strong working knowledge of AC and DC theory and equipment - Troubleshoot and repair low- and high-voltage electrical systems, motors, drives, PLCs, and control circuits - Install and maintain power distribution systems, transformers, MCCs, switchgear, lighting, and grounding systems - Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtim...
