Description The Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine at Tulane University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join a portfolio of quantitative health equity research led by Dean Thomas A. LaVeist. The fellow will be affiliated with the Tulane Health Equity Institute , a university-wide initiative advancing research on structural determinants of health, policy solutions, and systems-level interventions to reduce inequities. This position is embedded within an active research program examining how health policy, health system organization, financing structures, and structural drivers—including housing, discrimination, and community-level social vulnerability—shape access to care, quality, utilization, and health outcomes. Projects include secondary analysis of large national datasets, administrative and claims data, and policy-relevant evaluations designed to inform federal and state decision-makers.
