General Function: Under the supervision of the Aquatics Executive and in harmony with the mission and purpose of the established policies and goals of the YMCA of the Virginia Peninsulas, the Associate Aquatics Executive is responsible for the administration of safe, quality aquatic programs. Provides leadership to include Swim Team, Swim Lessons, Safety Around Water, Second Grade Learn to Swim, and general pool operations. The Associate Aquatics Executive gives leadership to association priorities including swim team, risk management, and Second Grade Learn to swim. Major emphasis and responsibilities must be in the areas of budget, program growth, staff development and the positive approach to problem solving.
