Department Overview This position reports to (supervisor): Chair, Dept of Neurology and Head, Division of Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease The Oregon Layton Aging & Alzheimer’s Disease Center (OADC) closely integrates its clinical mission with its designation as an NIA-funded Oregon Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (OADRC). The Memory Assessment and Aging & Alzheimer’s clinics are located at the OHSU CHH1 clinic and are staffed by specialty-trained cognitive or geriatric neurologists, a geriatric psychiatrist, two advanced practice providers, two neuropsychologists, a nurse, a patient care coordinator, and a social worker. Geriatric neurology and psychiatry fellows also contribute to the clinical team. This highly experienced specialty team is widely recognized across the Portland metropolitan area, the state of Oregon, and the Pacific Northwest. Patients are typically referred for evaluation of adult onset cognitive disorders, diagnostic clarification, treatment recommendations and implementation, and information regarding clinical trial opportunities.
