Description The Department of Education at The College of Wooster invites applications for a visiting position in Educational Foundations at the level of Assistant Professor, beginning in August 2020. We are especially interested in hiring faculty who can contribute to the intellectual vibrancy and diversity of the academic community through their teaching, research, and service. The College of Wooster enrolls a diverse student body (21% domestic students of color and 15% international students); all applicants are expected to discuss their experience working with diverse student populations. The successful candidate should have a demonstrated ability to teach courses and advise research projects in educational foundations such as Introduction to Education, Classroom Management as Social Justice, and specialized electives such as Urban Education, Global Education, etc. They will teach the equivalent of 6 courses, including introductory and advanced courses within the field of education, supervise field and student teaching, and actively contribute to the department’s accreditation process.
